The Consumer Affairs Agency said that even though there was no rational basis, laundry products were sold with the indications such as "cleaning power comparable to detergent" and "sterilization effect of 99% or more" on product packages and websites. We issued a measure order to the manufacturers in Ibaraki prefecture to prevent recurrence based on the prize labeling law.

The order was given to the manufacturer "Miyamoto Seisakusho" in Ibaraki Prefecture, which sold three laundry products such as a product called "Washing Mug-chan" that uses magnesium.

According to the Consumer Affairs Agency, since June last year, when selling products, the company has "detergent-friendly cleaning power", "sterilization effect of 99% or more", and "even if the room is dried" on the packaging and its website. It was advertised as if the same effect as washing with detergent could be obtained just by adding the product, such as "It does not smell".

When the Consumer Affairs Agency asked the company to show the grounds for labeling, the submitted materials support the effect, such as experiments being conducted under different conditions than when actually using it in a washing machine. There was no rational basis.

For this reason, the Consumer Affairs Agency has issued a measure order to the company to prevent recurrence, saying that such an act violates the prize labeling law.

Regarding this, "Miyamoto Seisakusho" said on its website, "We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to everyone. We will take the order seriously and strive to prevent recurrence." I posted a comment to do.
