Love of Lesbian Interview: "We didn't want to see ourselves at 40 making songs as if we were 20"
Direct Latest coronavirus news
Last March, the musical group Love of Lesbian starred in the first massive concert of the pandemic.
This was an experiment that took place in
Palau de Sant Jordi
with more than 5,000 followers who danced and sang without social distance but with a mask.
A medical team supervised the operation and subjected all attendees to an antigen test.
This Tuesday researchers from
the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital in Badalona
(Barcelona) Boris Revollo and Josep Maria Llibre explained that the concert "was not a super broadcast event".
Libre explained that
"it was a safe activity."
In the 14 days after the concert, only six positive cases were detected among the 5,000 attendees.
The promoters have highlighted that it was a low cumulative incidence, of 131 per 100,000 inhabitants compared to the 260 cases per 100,000 inhabitants that Barcelona registered during the concert.
In fact, one of those affected had been infected before the concert.
The Love of Lesbian group thanked the organizers who believed in this experiment and took the opportunity to claim that culture is safe.
"For the umpteenth time it has been shown that culture is safe. Let us act prudently, but also accordingly. You can be brave when there are guarantees, because this is what differentiates courage from unconsciousness. The data have given the reason ", they have explained in a thread on their Twitter account.
