Salicornes et Calissons

by Fabienne Hégron, published on March 15, 2021 by Éditions Couleurs et Plumes.

Her favorite quote:

"How many hours spent repainting the world,

Hanging its wings and erasing its blackness

What has become of the wandering sketch

Of our beautiful futures which would be the best?"

"

Why this book?

  • Because poetry is more necessary than ever to us

and Fabienne Hégron takes us into a universe that is both very current and full of nostalgia conducive to touching us in these troubled times.

  • Because nature is very present in this collection

and the author pays homage to it with great delicacy and power.

  • Because poetry in verse is very difficult to handle,

and not always easy to read (except that of the greatest!): Yet, here, it works, we do not feel the exercise of style, it emerges from verses a true emotion, and the author takes enough freedom not to give the impression of imitating models.

  • Because the writing is beautiful, the vocabulary rich and precise,

the inventiveness very present, and you can feel the experience lived in each poem.
