Faced with disappointing audiences, TF1 put a stop to its new program "Bienvenue aux mariés".

The competition between wedding planners is deprogrammed from the chain, only a week after its launch, postponed by a year because of the health crisis linked to the Covid-19 pandemic.

A week and then leaves.

TF1 decided to stop the broadcasting of its new daily afternoon program on Monday,

Welcome to the bride and groom

.

This competition between wedding planners, embodied by Elodie Villemus, was launched just a week ago, after an arrival on the air postponed from 2020 to 2021 following the health crisis linked to the Covid-19 pandemic.

TF1 justifies its decision by highlighting audiences that do not meet its expectations.

40% drop in audiences

In

Welcome to the newlyweds

, an engaged couple had to choose a reception venue for their future marriage, thus putting in competition various "wedding planners", including beginners advised by Elodie Villenus.

The latter is well known to viewers of TF1, who discovered it in

4 weddings for a honeymoon

.

The audiences for this first week of broadcasting were really not good: they were 40% lower than those achieved at the same time, from 3.35 p.m., during the previous month.

Difficult to continue to broadcast this new program under these conditions.

The program

Bienvenue aux mariés

will be replaced as of Monday by a TV movie.
