On April 25, "ice running" began on the surface of the Mohe section of Heilongjiang River. This section of the river entered the opening period, and the large ice platoons rolled and collided, which was quite spectacular.
Mohe City is the northernmost city in China. The source of Heilongjiang is in Mohe City. It is one of the latest rivers to thaw in China. The opening period of Mohe section is from the end of April to the beginning of May. As the temperature rises rapidly this spring, the temperature is higher than in previous years. The opening time of the Mohe section was 6 days earlier than last year.
