“Over the past day in Russia, 99 forest fires have been liquidated on an area of 21,505 hectares,” RIA Novosti is quoted as saying.
It is noted that the largest area of fires was recorded in the Tyumen region, where there were five forest fires on an area of 4 392 hectares.
Earlier, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, Roman Vilfand, named the regions with a high risk of wildfires.
