China News Service, Xining, April 25 (Sun Rui) A reporter learned from the Qinghai Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security on the 25th that in 2020, Qinghai Province will coordinate and file a total of 905 cases of wage arrears for migrant workers, totaling 12,400 farmers. 150 million yuan was paid for wages, and the settlement rate of migrant workers’ wage reports and complaints reached 100%, effectively safeguarding the rights and interests of migrant workers’ labor compensation.
According to the relevant person in charge of the Qinghai Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, since last year, the Qinghai Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Department has implemented comprehensive policies, and some long-standing and important cases have been completely resolved. The number of cases, the amount of money involved, and the number of people involved have decreased year after year. The problem of wage arrears for migrant workers has frequently occurred. The momentum of multiple occurrences has been effectively curbed.
We will further improve the wage payment guarantee system for migrant workers, include the rate of payment of migrant workers’ wages and security deposits into the province’s human and social work assessment targets, increase the collection of deposits, and ensure that new construction projects in the province basically achieve full coverage of migrant workers’ wages and deposits.
At the same time, the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Qinghai Province focused on the problem of wage arrears in the field of engineering construction, carried out investigations and inspections, and formulated corrective measures in a timely manner.
In particular, in response to the high incidence of wage arrears cases of migrant workers at the end of the year and the beginning of the year, the winter tackling operations were carried out in a solid manner to achieve the "two zeros".
Statistics show that in 2020, labor security supervision agencies at all levels in Qinghai province will conduct 7 joint inspections with development and reform, housing construction, public security, labor unions and other departments; A "Rectification Notice" was issued; a group of companies that refused to pay labor remuneration were interviewed; 29 cases of malicious arrears of wages were transferred to the public security organs, laying a solid foundation for achieving the overall goal of eradicating wages arrears.
