In fact, this exhibition started in the 1980s, including my own performance. Behind the scenes, it includes how to promote, inherit, and develop. It is a good review.

Because apart from acting on TV, most of my energy is devoted to the innovation and inheritance of Cantonese opera.

Of course, how to lead this ancient industry, how to lead it to a new way of working, these are my important work, through this exhibition, you should probably understand.

[Explanation] In the early 1980s, Wang Mingquan came into contact with Cantonese opera by chance, and has since fallen in love with this art.

After that, she established a Cantonese opera troupe in Hong Kong and became the first female chairwoman of the Hong Kong Bahe Guild Hall and served as the first female chairwoman for several consecutive terms.

In Wang Mingquan's view, as an important intangible cultural heritage project, the inheritance and development of Cantonese opera in Hong Kong is of special significance.

Of course, Hong Kong Cantonese opera has survived for a long time, and it is somewhat different from Cantonese opera in the Mainland. Many traditional things have been preserved in Hong Kong.

For the whole country, especially local operas with more than 300 types of operas, Yue opera is a very important part.

Cantonese opera is also Hong Kong's first intangible cultural heritage project.

[Explanation] Over the past few decades, Wang Mingquan has not only been actively involved in the performing arts and promotion of Cantonese opera, but has also been concerned about the survival and development of Cantonese opera actors and related practitioners.

She takes advantage of her social effects to actively cultivate new Cantonese opera talents, and is committed to improving Cantonese opera creation and performance.

Wang Mingquan said frankly that the inheritance and development of Cantonese opera requires the efforts of more people.

I think it needs more people's efforts, all-round (efforts).

Hope more young people (join).

For our Bahe Club, we have also done a lot of things. For example, we have the "Rookie Training Program" in Yau Ma Tei. We have 100 performances every year. This year (2021) is already the ninth year. Through this program, Have nurtured a lot of people.

After that, our own Bahe Guild Hall also had a Cantonese Opera Academy.

We all hope to go out to Hong Kong, or we should target the Greater Bay Area, because there are 70 million people there, all of whom speak Cantonese, which will expand our audience.
