It almost makes fun of John Wake movies

"No Buddy" ... a sarcastic performance mixed with combat prowess and unlimited fun

Nobody almost makes fun of John Wake movies, not in a comic sense, but in the sense that John Wake was a frenzied movie compared to this one, "No Body" (or no one) employs a calm tone to a large extent, as if the hero fights in a cold mood and does not take things on Seriously, unlike John Wick who fights like it's the last day of his life.

We see Bob, Odenkerk, in the championship at the age of 58, the place of Keanu Reeves, who is now 56, who was 49 when he released the first John Wick films in 2014, and brought about a revolution and a radical change that was not expected in action cinema, and made "Franchise" from nothing. .

The idea of the two films revolves around a middle-aged man who should not be messed with, John Wake went crazy when a Russian gang killed his dog, so he canceled his retirement decision and opened the gates of hell, and killed her from her father's reel in the movie No Limits to his enjoyment.

The same thing happens here when Hatch Mansell (Odenkrek) decides to take revenge on a Russian gang over a bus brawl. The similarities are not a coincidence. The two films were written by Derek Kolstad.

"No Body" is directed by Russian Elia Nicholler, who is lover of spy stories. The film does not take itself seriously, and offers everything that is expected of it as an "action" movie that is light on the viewer, meaning it does not contain unnecessary lengthening.

Odenkerk offers a mocking performance mixed with combat prowess, but it is clear that he did not train as much as Reeves did in John Wick, and we do not see special fighting skills, such as jiu-jitsu, but we see him hitting and then receiving painful blows and returning to hit and strike, and the reason is to give the character a likable and creative human aspect. An emotional bond with the viewer.

The story is also not new, not even unique, but it is a story that, if executed correctly, will produce unlimited entertainment, and this is exactly what happens.

What is meant by the title “Nobody” is the hero Mansell who lives a repetitive routine, as we see in the beginning montage, with his wife Becca (Danish Coney Nelson in a role much lighter than the Amazon Queen in Wonder Woman), and his son who rejects everything Blake (Gage Monroe), And his daughter, Athba Muasher, Abi (Beasley Kadurath).

The family is exposed to an accident that has broken into their home and is controlled by Mansell, but after failing to steal anything valuable, the gang attacks his son with a punch in the face, Mansell's reaction is calm, as it turns out later that he recognized the gang members through a tattoo on the hand of one of them.

Mansell calls a mysterious person via radio, or let's say a secret communication system, then he goes to break into the headquarters of the gang, which turns out to be made up of a man and his wife, and retrieves the stolen items, and on his return he rides a bus with a girl.

A Russian gang rides the bus and begins harassing the girl. Manseel starts to defend her, and Mansell fights the gang and eliminates her despite suffering painful injuries, and it is his misfortune that one of the gang members who received the largest share of the severe beatings is the brother of karaoke music lover Yulian Kuznetov (Russian Alexei Serebryakov) And, despite his bad relationship with his brother, the latter intends to take revenge on Mansel.

The main fun of the movie comes from watching a middle-class or toiling man take out an entire gang or even a militia using the smartest and cutest methods, from iron bars to pistols and rifles to booby-traps parts of the house.

Odenkrek embodies an ordinary street man, as is Tom Hanks, he does not enjoy any stardom, there is nothing special about the character of Hatchmansil, not even the shape of Odenkrek that if he walked in a shopping center nobody would know.

The film contains the same dry comedy that we saw in John Wake, a comedy that mocks the hero and his story, although the action is very well designed and executed, and creates an acceptable degree of tension in its fiercest moments, but the cold and calm tone of the film and the selected shots, dialogues, facial expressions of Odinkirk, and even the music, All of them give a refreshment to those who feel extremely nervous after witnessing violence and intense confrontations.

Although there are no big stars in the movie, it contains the action required to attract audiences in general, some may not accept the presence of Odenkrek in the championship, or say that the role is not appropriate for him, but we say that the absence of Keanu Reeves does not mean that the film is deficient Or, it doesn't provide an hour and a half of entertainment.

Odenkrek, for those who do not know him, is that fraudulent lawyer Saul Goodman, who advocates for drug gangs in the wonderful series Breaking Bad. Note that Odenkrek is still considered a minor character actor in Hollywood and not a single starring star.

The same dry comedy that we saw in John Wick, a comedy that mocks the hero and his story.

• The film does not take itself seriously, and presents everything expected of it as a light "action" movie for the viewer.
