The National May 1st Labor Award highlights "three new" laborers and highly skilled talents

It is worth noting that this selection also recommended a group of advanced models of workers in the "three new" fields. According to preliminary statistics, there are 48 individuals in the National May 1st Labor Medal and 25 teams in the National Worker Pioneer.
The ACFTU has set regulations on the proportion of migrant workers for many years in the National May 1st Labor Award recommendation and selection. This year it is clearly required that the proportion of migrant workers should not be less than 10%, while the actual proportion of migrant workers recommended reaches 13.7%.
These outstanding migrant workers are mainly concentrated in labor-intensive industries such as manufacturing, construction, transportation, and service industries.
According to statistics, 98 people are from the manufacturing industry, accounting for 59.8% of the total number of migrant workers; 20 people are from the construction industry, accounting for 12.2%, and many of them have grown into craftsmen and skilled masters.
It is worth mentioning that this year's National May 1 Labor Award and the National Worker Pioneer Number recommended selection work to pay more attention to workers from the "three new" fields.
Among them, there are those who apply the "Internet +" thinking to optimize traditional industries, those who promote intelligent manufacturing to improve quality, efficiency, and benefits, and those who are engaged in the research and development, production and application of unmanned tractors and drones, and those who are engaged in 5G communications and large-scale Workers in new business formats such as data applications and modern logistics.
In addition, there are courier brothers, takeaway food delivery guys, etc. in the selection list.
The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Labor and Economic Affairs of the ACFTU said that in the future selection and recognition work, further attention will be paid to the selection of outstanding new workers with the spirit of model workers, work Greater contribution.
The ACFTU always pays attention to recommending industrial workers, especially high-skilled talents, in the selection and recognition.
This year, industrial workers accounted for 42.5% of the total number of medals. Among them, 363 were high-skilled talents such as senior workers, technicians, and senior technicians, accounting for 71.3% of industrial workers. Many of them were born in the 80s and 90s.
According to reports, in order to further improve the treatment of high-skilled talents and stimulate the innovative vitality of high-skilled talents, the ACFTU has continuously increased the proportion of workers’ representatives, including high-skilled talents, in the trade union congress, members of the executive committee and presidium of High-skilled personnel and part-time vice chairpersons will be assigned to the leading groups of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and provincial trade unions.
At the same time, three batches of 297 national model worker and craftsman talent innovation studios have been named consecutively, and special funds for innovation studios and employee innovation subsidies have been set up to increase support for the innovation of front-line skilled workers.
