Amid concerns about the impact of the third state of emergency on employment, telephone counseling is being conducted all over the country, where lawyers and others respond to counseling on unemployment and living difficulties.

This telephone consultation is provided by support groups made up of lawyers and labor unions at 42 locations nationwide, and about 10 people are available at the law office in Saitama City.

A man in his 60s who works as a freelancer and holds concerts said, "It was difficult to hold concerts due to the influence of the new coronavirus, and my income decreased significantly. I can spend about 4 months a month as living expenses. I don't know what to do because I have only 10,000 yen and almost no savings left. "

In response, the person in charge of telephone counseling advised that "there is a national support system that allows you to borrow living expenses for the time being, so you should consider using it."

The support group wants to strengthen its support efforts, saying that in the third state of emergency, there is a risk that more people will be in trouble due to dismissal or "stop hiring", resulting in loss of work or loss of income.

Attorney Masaru Inomata of the support group said, "I feel that the number of people who are in need due to prolonged unemployment. It may be difficult to receive support from local governments during the Golden Week holidays, so I have trouble alone. Please feel free to call me without hesitation. "

The telephone consultation number is 0120-157-930, a toll-free number common throughout Japan, and consultations are accepted until 10:00 pm on the 24th.
