Yesterday, Dior announced that it will organize on June 17 a fashion show in Athens for its new collection, one of the shows known as "Cruise" (the cruise) that is organized outside fashion weeks, after last summer it organized a similar show in the central square of the city Lecce in southern Italy.
"Dior" said in a statement that it chose Athens, which is considered "an exceptional destination and the cradle of Western civilization and European arts", to display the collection signed by the Italian designer of women's collections, Maria Grazia Chiuri.
"Dior" confirmed that the show, which comes after several weeks of fashion organized by default, "will be an extension in the Greek capital of the magic of the show that was held in 2020 in Lecce ... with full compliance with the health procedures in place." "Dior" indicated that the selection of the site aims, as in the past year, to "enhance the creativity of local artists and craftsmen" who have been severely affected by the health crisis.

Major French fashion houses, including "Dior" and "Chanel", present "Cruz" collections in the spring, often outside France, and outside the framework of the four annual fashion weeks.
"Chanel" will show its collection on May 4 as part of a video film filmed at the Carrier de Lumiere Center for Digital Arts in Beau de Provence, southern France.
