This is the 12th consecutive day that the number of infected people has exceeded the same day of the previous week.
So far, a total of 7729 people have been confirmed to be infected in the prefecture.
In addition, the prefecture revealed that one new person had died, bringing the total number of people who died in the prefecture to 131.
It was also found that 16 of the confirmed infections by the 23rd were infected with the mutated coronavirus.
Infection with the mutated virus has now been confirmed in 175 people in the prefecture.
