Gifu Prefecture has officially decided to request the government to apply "priority measures such as prevention of spread" because the infection of the new coronavirus is spreading rapidly in the prefecture.

In addition, from the 26th of this month, we have decided to request restaurants in nine cities with many infected people to shorten their business hours to 8 pm.

Gifu Prefecture held a countermeasures meeting on the afternoon of the 23rd, and 62% of the newly infected people in the week until the 11th of this month were presumed to have been infected with the mutant virus, which was two weeks ago. It was reported that it was at the same level as Osaka.

On that basis, it was officially decided to request the government to apply "priority measures such as prevention of spread", considering that the rapid spread of infection and the tightness of beds in the Kansai region are becoming a reality in Gifu prefecture.

In addition, the prefecture has also issued its own "emergency declaration", and there are nine infected people: Gifu City, Ogaki City, Kakamigahara City, Mizuho City, Seki City, Minokamo City, Tajimi City, Kani City, and Toki City. We have also decided to request the city's eateries to shorten their liquor service by 7:00 pm and business hours by 8:00 pm.

The period is from the 26th of this month to the 11th of next month, and if requested, small and medium-sized enterprises will pay a cooperation fee of 25,000 to 75,000 yen per store per day.

No cooperation fee will be paid, but we will ask movie theaters, sports gyms and other sports facilities, and large commercial facilities over 1000 square meters to shorten business hours as well as restaurants.

Also, for the long holidays, we will refrain from having a large number of dinners with friends and relatives who have returned home, events at commercial facilities, barbecues, and do not drink in groups on the streets or in the park. We encourage people to do things without spectators, and to wear karaoke with masks.
