A 100% female team lights up this Thursday.

At the same time as Jean Castex's speech, the artist Sally unveils a program as pleasing as deconfinement measures: the song and the clip of

Shoot

.

A title in which she brings together five singers and rappers, Chilla, Joanna, Kanis, Vicky R and Alicia, who all evolve in the hip-hop galaxy.

"These are artists that I admire a lot, and that I know more or less personally," explains Sally, relayed by the project's com.

Apart from making a silly title, I wanted the less professional connection to be made, for each of us to connect with each other, which worked.

Six artists, six voices and six unique styles, who co-sign a hymn to African Caribbean sounds, around female empowerment and emancipation.

"Do not think that we hope, we have climbed mountains (...) we want the light on all our exploits", sings in particular Joanna.

The forces involved

If we do not yet know if this title will be followed by an album (which would really have the mouth), the title of

Shoot

, well paced and very effective, gives pride of place to each of the successive voices. . We therefore find Sally, at the initiative of the project, a young artist of 21 years who released her very promising first EP

Pyaar

in 2019 (big crush for the title

Russian Roulette

). Other well-known faces, that of Chilla who has been evolving on the rap scene for several years and upsets the codes of this still very masculine environment, just like Vicky R, who stands out for her stripping rap.

Alongside them, emerge three other artists still little known to the general public.

The bewitching Joanna, urban pop singer whose perched and airy style should not go unnoticed in the coming months.

Kanis, a Haitian artist who initially raps in English and Creole, and has been storming the French scene for a few months.

And finally Alicia, a young artist revealed by a freestyle competition, who notably did a feat with Tsew the Kid and a title on the album

Mesdames

de Grand Corps Malade.

The beginning of a common adventure for all these artists?

Whether it is a collective or individual project, there is a good chance that all of them will shake up the French musical landscape.
