In response to a series of criticisms of the design of tritium drawn like a so-called "Yuru-chara" in videos and leaflets that emphasize the safety of treated water, the Reconstruction Agency deleted the character and replaced it with an alphabet. I made a leaflet.

The Reconstruction Agency announced on the 13th of this month that the TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station decided to dilute the ever-increasing amount of treated water containing radioactive substances such as tritium to a concentration below the national standard and release it into the sea. We have released videos and leaflets that emphasize the safety of treated water.

However, criticisms continued for the design that drew tritium like a so-called "Yuru-chara", and the release was canceled the next day.

The Reconstruction Agency reported that the relevant ministries and agencies had created a new leaflet at a meeting on the 22nd to discuss measures against rumors, deleting the character and replacing it with the letter "T", which is the element symbol of tritium.

The Reconstruction Agency will release this leaflet on the 22nd, and will release the video as soon as it is ready.
