Tens of thousands of primary school students in the southwest have to continue to wear corona protective masks after a decision by the Administrative Court (VGH).
The Mannheim court rejected urgent applications from five primary school students from the Karlsruhe area, the Biberach district, the Böblingen district and the Rhein-Neckar district against the mask requirement.
The VGH announced on Thursday that the regulation, which has been in force since March 22, is legal.
There was an accumulation of infections in schools.
According to the current state of research, the country should see this measure as a suitable means of preventing chains of infection.
The resolutions are final.
Saxony's Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer (CDU) advertised on his trip to Moscow for a quick approval process for the Russian corona vaccine Sputnik V in the European Union.
"We are strongly promoting a speedy approval process by May," wrote Kretschmer on Thursday in the short message service Twitter after a conversation with the Russian Minister of Health Michail Muraschko.

According to Kretschmer, Germany is negotiating three ten million doses of Sputnik V "for June, July, August".
Prerequisite is the rapid approval of the vaccine by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
