According to the agency, the composer died of kidney failure.

It is noted that Steinman is best known for writing the lyrics and music for all the songs on the album of rock artist Meat Loaf's Bat Out Of Hell.

Earlier it was reported that American jazz pianist and composer Chick Corea passed away at the age of 79.
