Despite the small number of meals during the holy month of Ramadan and the long hours of fasting, many people suffer from weight gain due to the wrong diet.

The nutritionist and food science specialist, Dr. Wael Moussa, explained that weight increases during Ramadan not because of the large number of meals, but because of fear of hunger the next day, which leads to eating a lot of foods, in addition to eating a lot of sugars that raise insulin in the blood. It causes hunger a few hours after eating.
