[Explanation] Recently, archaeologists from the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology discovered a well-preserved tomb from the early Western Han Dynasty in the Dabaozi Cemetery. At present, nearly 100 precious cultural relics such as gilt bronzes, copper vessels, jade, painted pottery (pottery figurines) have been unearthed .

  The Dapuzi Cemetery is located in the plateau on the south bank of the Jinghe River (northeast of Xianyang plateau in Shaanxi). The loess is richly accumulated and the terrain is flat and open.

Since 2020, the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology has been excavating regional archaeological work. Up to now, it has cleaned more than 400 tombs and unearthed nearly 2,000 pieces (groups) of various relics such as pottery, copper, jade, and iron. The early Western Han Dynasty remains as the main culture. Connotation.

  This tomb was excavated by us in this cemetery. It is the most complete preserved and the most unearthed artifacts, and then the tomb with the most abundant types of unearthed artifacts and the most complete combination of artifacts. Through the excavation of this tomb, we can judge the burying customs of the early Western Han Dynasty. The burial system and social living habits provide a very rare material material.

  [Explanation] It is understood that the archaeologists discovered a large pottery warehouse in the niche on the west side of the tomb. The warehouse is about 80 cm high and 1 meter long.

Compared with the previously discovered warehouses in the Western Han Dynasty, such large warehouses are relatively rare.

At the same time, it was found in the warehouse that there are grains more than two thousand years ago, which are relatively well preserved.

  Through the identification of this plant archaeology teacher of Northwest University, it should be millet, which is what we call millet, which provides us with a very important material for judging the diet structure of the Western Han people at that time.

Then at the same time, another bright spot was that a lot of this red-painted pottery Fangcang was discovered.

Tao Fangcang preliminarily judged that its function should also be to store food crops, and its specific inclusions must be further tested based on the soil samples we retrieved.

As for this inference about the identity of the tomb owner, we found a jade seal on the waist of the tomb owner, whose name is Fengshe, which means that our tomb owner is a person with a name and a surname. This tomb owner, we After preliminary identification, he is a male and his age should be over 20 years old.

  [Explanation] According to reports, the tombs excavated this time provide rare and precious materials for studying the funeral customs, tomb systems, and lifestyles of the early residents of the Western Han Dynasty in the Guanzhong area.

At the same time, it also provided complete material materials for prying into the life picture of the middle and upper class society in the early Western Han Dynasty.

As of today, the three niches in the east, west and south of the tomb are still being excavated.
