The deep-medium channel is about 24 kilometers long. It is a cross-river channel from Shenzhen to Zhongshan. It is also an important transportation hub in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It integrates tunnels, islands, bridges, and underwater communication. It has the world's first two-way eight-lane steel Shell concrete immersed tube tunnel, full offshore suspension bridge with the largest span in water.
The Deep-Medium Corridor is currently the most difficult cross-sea cluster project under construction in the world.
