The director of the Burjeel Cancer Institute and the President of the Emirates Oncology Society, Dr. Hamid bin Harmal Al Shamsi, confirmed that "the decision to fast for a cancer patient is determined by the attending physician according to the case, dividing the patients into several categories, starting from the category of those undergoing treatment and recovering from cancer."
