On RTL, LR president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, Renaud Muselier, potential candidate for re-election for the next regional ones, announced his intention to acquire these Russian vaccines, which are still banned in Europe.
Asked about the region's lack of competence in health matters, the region president specified that he would make these doses "available to the ARS to have vaccinations with my vaccinodromes" and that he had "warned" the Minister of Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian for his "contact with the Russian Ambassador".

French Secretary of State for European Affairs Clément Beaune deplored on Sunday a "communication coup" after Berlin announced the opening of discussions with Russia for the purchase of anti-Covid Sputnik V vaccines.
