"I don't think any surveillance service is knowingly falsifying data at all."

With these words, Fernando Simón denied this Monday the statement made last week by Pedro Sánchez that not all infections are being recorded in the Community of Madrid.

An affirmation that was pronounced in a private conversation with the media, unleashed a new political confrontation, and then the President of the Government did not repeat in his appearance in Senegal before the cameras.

"We give the data of the autonomous communities, but we do not do comparative analysis," said the director of the Center for the Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies, responding this afternoon to a question about the data of the Community of Madrid.

"In the community of Madrid there have been more cases", has analyzed Simón, reason why "there have also been more deaths", before clarifying that "the fatality is similar to that of other autonomous communities".

In his opinion, "the management" of infections "is" similar "in all autonomous governments.

"As for whether they are false (the data) or not, I am not

sure

, they

are data with the same quality as any other autonomous community

", has affected Fernando Simón.

Yes he has conceded that "there may be delays that are corrected after two, three four days."

Incidence goes up 17 points over the weekend

Much less sudden than the third, quieter, but no less dangerous at least for our hospitals.

The fourth wave is advancing slowly but surely, it is a fact, and we should be concerned because although vaccination is accelerating with the arrival of more vaccines, the percentage of the immunized population is still insufficient to not scrupulously comply with the measures and monitor the pandemic again get out of hand.

According to the data published this Monday by Health

, the incidence continues to rise and stands at 199, at high risk

.

By autonomous communities, at the top are those of previous days: the autonomous cities of Melilla (537.46) and Ceuta (498.80) continue to be those with the highest incidents, followed by Navarra (425, 14), Madrid (336.41) and the Basque Country (320.47).

Almost all the autonomous communities continue to grow, but the same ones as in previous days remain below 100: Valencian Community (34.34, even down a few tenths), Balearic Islands (57.36, also down about eight points), Murcia (67 , 76) and Galicia (75.39).

The seven-day incidence - which helps to quickly detect possible changes in the trend - also grows considerably, going from 90.79 on Friday to 112.20 this Monday.

As for infections, since Friday Health reports

22,744 new cases

, a figure also increasing compared to previous days.

This figure has not been registered on a Monday since February (20,849 on February 22), when we were running down the terrible third wave and all the parameters reflected higher figures.

2,212 were diagnosed the previous day (highlighting 472 from the Basque Country and 373 from Madrid).

In total, the number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic in Spain is 3,370,256.

The number of deaths in the last three days rises to 197

.

With a death date in the last seven days, Health reports 248 people (48 in Madrid, 31 in Andalusia and 26 in Aragon, the communities with the most deaths).

In total, since the pandemic began in Spain, 76,525 deaths have been registered.

Regarding the occupation of the hospitals, we have been warning for days of a different situation compared to previous waves: although the ferocity of this, for now, is less, the hospitals start from a worse position since the pressure did not end up lowering enough after the third wave and many communities are especially saturated.

The percentage of beds occupied by patients with coronavirus in Spain stands at 8.19% (on Friday 7.48%).

The percentage of intensive care beds (ICU) is 21.57%

(on Friday 20.48%).

There are five communities above the 25% risk threshold.

This is the case of Madrid (40.90%), Catalonia (39.74%), La Rioja (39.62%), the Basque Country (27.75%) and Navarra (27.01%).

Castilla y León does not reach this maximum risk threshold by a few hundredths (24.95%).

It must be remembered that this percentage reflects only Covid patients, to which must be added those who occupy ICU beds for other pathologies or interventions, so the degree of real saturation is always greater than that indicated by these figures.

The Autonomous Communities with the lowest occupancy level in ICU, all below 10%, are Galicia (3.47%), Murcia (6.17%), Balearic Islands (7.55%), Valencian Community (7.67%) , that is, the ones with the lowest incidence, the most Extremadura (8.02%).

The number of hospitalizations and ICUs in our hospitals is on the rise again.

To date, there are 10,246 patients admitted for Covid.

Of those more than 10,000, 2,641 correspond to Madrid, 2,547 to Catalonia and 1,508 to Andalusia.

In the last three days, 1,913 patients have been admitted (2,582 in the last seven days).

242 patients have been referred to the ICU since Friday (273 in the last seven days).

Therefore, since the beginning of the pandemic, the total number of hospitalized patients has already been 337,623 and the total number of ICU cases 30,736.
