Three years ago, on April 9, 2018, a vast expulsion operation began on the “ZAD” of Notre-Dame-des-Landes (Loire-Atlantique).

This operation, carried out by several hundred mobile gendarmes, aimed to dislodge the occupants declared illegal from this "zone to be defended", nearly three months after the abandonment of the project for a new Nantes airport.

For several days, clashes broke out between militants and mobile gendarmerie forces on the sidelines of the expulsion operations.

Tensions, violence, moments of joy, isolation, difficulties in transmitting information, pressure, public expectations… Julie Urbach and Frédéric Brenon, journalists at the editorial staff of “20 Minutes” in Nantes, tell in this episode of “Minute Papillon!
