The Sichuan Higher People's Court conducts evaluation and investigation on Zhang Zhijun's second-instance murder case with a suspended death sentence
On April 12, the Sichuan Provincial Higher People's Court responded to Zhang Zhijun's second-instance murder case with a suspended death sentence, saying that it is seriously reviewing the case in accordance with the law, and will effectively implement strict judicial procedures, maintain justice, accept supervision, and respond to concerns.
On December 20, 2019, the Chengdu Intermediate People's Court made a first-instance verdict on Zhang Zhijun’s murder of his son-in-law’s family of three. Zhang Zhijun was guilty of intentional homicide and was sentenced to death.
