It is good to live in Nice.

It is not the people of Nice who assert it, but the association “Cities and villages where it is good to live”, whose 2021 prize list was published by the Journal du dimanche.

The metropolis is in seventh place among cities with more than 2,000 inhabitants.

In this top 10, only two agglomerations have more than 200,000 inhabitants.

Nice is then in first place, ahead of Bordeaux.

Another municipality in the Alpes-Maritimes is included in the ranking.

Théoule-sur-Mer is sixth of the cities of less than 2,000 inhabitants where it is good to live.

Eight categories and 183 criteria for nearly 35,000 municipalities in France

According to the association, the results of this survey “underline the current concerns of the population, which the context of the crisis has only reinforced: favor areas that offer a better quality of life, closer to nature and also utilities.

"

The ranking took into account all 34,837 municipalities in mainland France from eight categories: quality of life, transport, education, services, health, safety, shops, and finally, sports and leisures.

The ranking was established after two years of work and according to 183 criteria, data provided in particular by INSEE (National Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies).
