The inhabitants of Pont-l'Abbé (Finistère) have had it bad for a few days.
One or more jokers have indeed had fun stealing the giant glasses of Michel Polnareff which adorned a weeping willow of the town since 2016, as reported by
Le Télégramme
.
"We were surprised by the longevity of the structure that has already almost five years but unfortunately when I answer you, Polnareff has not regained his glasses," said by email to
20 Minutes
Denis Dugor responsible environment the commune.
The artist had appreciated the wink
This pair of white glasses, two meters wide by 50 centimeters high, made by artist David Porsmoguer, had been installed on a tree that had been hit by the storm a year earlier.
"It was severely pruned and as soon as I passed in front, I thought of the singer," Denis Dugor told us then.
Michel Polnareff, who has Breton origins, had appreciated the wink at the time, hailing on social networks "the humor sympathetic and raciniesque".
The Telegram
specifies that no complaint has been filed for the moment, the town hall of Pont-l'Abbé hoping that the jokers will realize their stupidity and bring back the glasses.
