An exhibition will be held in Ginza, Tokyo from the 10th to introduce the charm of the design of the collections in museums all over Japan.

This exhibition is an interlocking project of the E-tele program "Designing a Design Museum", and five creators who appeared in the program visited museums and craft museums all over Japan to select at the venue in Ginza, Tokyo. The collection is introduced.

Fashion designer Kunihiko Morinaga focused on the costume called "Habragin" held by the Lifelong Learning Center in Uken Village, Amami Oshima, Kagoshima Prefecture.

A festive outfit made over 150 years ago, it is sewn together with cloths of different patterns and materials, with fine stitching on the cuffs and hem.

"It's a design that makes you feel the sewn's intention to protect the wearer," added Morinaga's comment.

Mr. Morinaga said, "This is an exhibition that gathers the charm and possibilities of design like a treasure sleeping in Japan, so I would like many people to see it."

The exhibition will be held at "Ginza Sony Park" until the 9th of next month, and admission is free.

In addition, the exhibition will be broadcast at the "Sunday Art Museum" from 9 am on the 18th of this month.
