On April 7, the Shenzhen Wildlife Conservation and Administration Office, the Shenzhen Wildlife Conservation Association, the Shenzhen Wildlife Rescue Center and the Shenzhen Wildlife Park carried out a wild bird release activity in the Baguang Wetland Park.

  In the afternoon of the same day, under the guidance of professionals, Shenzhen residents will include 2 white-breasted bitter birds, 1 little egret, 1 pond heron, 1 red-billed blue bird, 3 bead-necked pandoves, and 1 brown-winged cuckoo , 1 snake eagle, 2 black-eared kites, 1 eagle owl, 1 crested eagle, a total of 14 wild birds were successfully released into nature.

  As of February 2021, Shenzhen has 585 species of native wild vertebrates, including: 68 species of mountain and stream fish; 22 species of amphibians; 61 species of reptiles; 382 species of birds have been recorded; 52 species of mammals.

Among the land wildlife surveyed, there are 15 species of national I-level protected wildlife (little cat, Chinese pangolin, black stork, white shoulder eagle, green-headed pochard, small green shank, spoon-billed sandpiper, black-billed gull, Black-headed Ibis, Black-faced Spoonbill, Yellow-billed Egret, Curl-feathered Pelican, Black Eagle, White-bellied Sea Eagle, Yellow-breasted Bunting), 77 species of national level II protected wild animals (Macaque, Snake Eagle, Collared Owl, Ocelot) Etc.), which are mainly distributed in Shenzhen Bay and Wutong Mountain, Qiniang Mountain, Paiya Mountain, Tiantou Mountain, Sanzhoutian, Maluan Mountain in the east and Yangtai Mountain, Tanglang Mountain and Neilingding Island in the west.
