People under 55 who have already received a first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine will receive a second dose of another vaccine, the High Authority for Health (HAS) announced on Friday morning.

This decision is the consequence of the choice to vaccinate only those over 55 years of age with this viral vector serum.

The rare cases of thrombosis, blood clots having been observed under this age limit.

Olivier Véran, the Minister of Health, had spread the news a little this morning.

He himself is affected by this decision, he who received a first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine in February, as a neurologist by training.

It is moreover especially caregivers who are concerned.

In total, just over 500,000 people under the age of 55 are affected.
