In response to the spread of the new corona infection in Kyoto Prefecture again, Kyoto Prefecture held a countermeasures headquarters meeting on the morning of the 9th, and the number of infected people per day has quadrupled in the last two weeks. I explained what I was doing.

After that, it was officially decided to request the national government to apply "priority measures such as prevention of spread" to prevent further spread of infection.

In addition, after setting the target area of the priority measures to the entire area of Kyoto City, the request to shorten the business hours, which is currently set to 9 pm, has been advanced by 1 hour to 8 pm. I also decided on a policy to do so.

The period is from the 12th of next week to the 5th of next month, and the stores that respond to the request will be provided with a cooperation fee according to the scale of sales.

In addition, we have decided to continue the request for shortening the working hours until 9 pm, which is currently being issued, to restaurants in 15 municipalities in the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture, such as Uji City, until the 5th of next month.

Furthermore, we confirmed that we would like the citizens of the prefecture to refrain from going out unnecessarily and urgently, including during the day.

The government has a policy of applying "priority measures such as spread prevention" to the three prefectures of Kyoto, Tokyo, and Okinawa, and will decide at the countermeasures headquarters that will open tonight.
