Every day at the border between the United States and Mexico, hundreds of migrants are intercepted by the police and sent back to Mexico without even having time to seek asylum.
Publicity
The right to asylum is a fundamental right and yet suspended for a year by a health measure put in place by Donald Trump at the start of the pandemic, which Joe Biden did not lift upon his arrival.
In Ciudad Juarez, these express expulsions took on a punitive aspect.
Migrants who entered 1000 km further east of the border are parachuted to the border bridge in this dangerous town without any warning.
