It is early to indicate whether the fourth wave of the

is accelerating or growing rapidly, but the slow growth of the indicators continues and some, such as the
incidence,
begin to rise a little more.
Thus, if in previous days it has risen two or three points each day, this Thursday it has risen almost seven compared to yesterday and stands at 174.52.
By autonomous communities,
Melilla
(483.49, 24 points more than yesterday) and
Ceuta
(433.48, more than 41 points more than yesterday) are still the ones with the highest incidents, followed by
Navarra
(379.46, 10 points more than yesterday),
Madrid
(315.49, 13 points more in 24 hours) and
the Basque Country
(289.12, 10 points more than the previous day).
At the other extreme, the communities with the lowest incidence are the
Valencian Community
(34.64), the
Balearic Islands
(64.27),
Murcia
(67.36) and
Galicia
(67.33), the only ones still below 100. Except for the
Canary Islands
and
Catalonia
, which have decreased slightly, the rest of the Autonomous Communities, even those that are lower in incidence, have increased it in the last 24 hours.
The
seven-day incidence
- which helps to quickly detect possible changes in the trend - rises just two points compared to yesterday and is 79.68.
As for infections, in the last 24 hours Health reports 9,901 new cases, a figure also increasing compared to previous days.
Diagnosed the previous day are 5,386 (highlighting the 2,182 in Madrid followed by the Basque Country with 655).
In total, the number of cases since the beginning of the
pandemic
in Spain is 3,336,637.
Deaths, hospitalizations and ICU
The number of
deaths
in the last 24 hours is 142, a figure slightly higher than yesterday (126).
With a death date in the last seven days, Health reports 282 people (67 in Madrid, 45 in Andalusia and 32 in
Castilla y León
, the communities with the most deaths).
In total, since the pandemic began in Spain, 76,179 deaths have been registered.
Unfortunately,
hospital
occupancy
has been slowly rising for days, both in normal beds and in ICU beds, something curious since this indicator does not rise immediately with the rise in infections and incidence.
Thus, the percentage of
beds occupied
by patients with coronavirus in Spain stands at 7.50% (yesterday 7.52%).
The percentage of intensive care beds (ICU) is 20.26% (yesterday 20.09%).
However, there are communities above the
risk threshold of
25%.
This is the case of
La Rioja
(39.62%, rises four percentage points), Catalonia (38.58%, rises several tenths), Madrid (38.56%, rises half a percentage point) and Melilla (35.29%, remains as yesterday).
It must be remembered that this percentage reflects only
Covid patients
, we must add those who occupy ICU beds for other pathologies or interventions, so the degree of real saturation is always greater than that indicated by these figures.
The Autonomous Communities with the lowest occupancy level in ICU, all below 10%, are Galicia (2.82%), Murcia (6.58%), Balearic Islands (5.76%), Valencian Community (7.39%) , that is to say, those with the lowest incidence, more Extremadura (8.49%).
The number of
hospitalizations and ICUs
in our hospitals is again on the rise.
To date there are 9,384 patients admitted for Covid.
Of those more than 9,000, 2,442 correspond to Madrid, 2,260 to Catalonia and 1,397 to Andalusia.
In the last 24 hours, 774 patients have been admitted (2,155 in the last seven days).
121 patients
have been referred to the ICU in the last 24 hours
(229 in the last seven days).
Therefore, since the beginning of the pandemic, there are already 335,065 total hospitalized and 30,391 total ICU cases.

As for Europe, in the ranking of infections since Monday of last week,
