The Consumer Affairs Agency has told the two manufacturers based on the prize labeling method, saying that they were selling disinfectant sprays by advertising such as "spatial disinfection" and "cutting floating bacteria" without a rational basis. We issued a measure order to prevent recurrence.

The order was received from

▽ "Noro Wilvarsan", a pharmaceutical manufacturer in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, and

▽ "Care for Noro Barrier Plus Spray". , Osaka City's raw material maker "Sankei".

According to the Consumer Affairs Agency, when both companies sell "sulfuric acid water" disinfectant sprays on their websites, etc., from November to October last year, "spatial disinfectant invisible virus"・ It was advertised as if it could be sterilized in the air by displaying "99.9% removal of bacteria" or "cutting floating bacteria".

When the Consumer Affairs Agency asked the company to show the grounds for labeling, the submitted materials were tested in an environment different from the conditions of use, and all rational grounds to support the effect were found. It means that it wasn't.

For this reason, the Consumer Affairs Agency has issued a measure order to the two companies to prevent recurrence, saying that such an act violates the prize labeling law.

Regarding this, "REC" states that "the company will consider it and take appropriate measures."

In addition, "Sankei" said, "We deeply apologize for the misleading display on consumers. We will strengthen the management system and prevent recurrence."
