Fukui Prefecture announced on the 8th that 11 new men and women in their 20s to 90s have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
The total number of infected people in the prefecture is 639.
The prefecture has issued an "infection spread warning" and continues to call for thorough countermeasures.
