There are no more African teams in the Top 20 of the FIFA Ranking.

Senegal, which appeared there in recent months, moved from 20th to 22nd place, a few days after the end of qualifying for the next African Cup of Nations (CAN 2021).

The Senegalese, however, remain the best representatives of Africa in this scale established monthly by the International Football Federation.

They are followed by Tunisia (26th), Nigeria (32nd, +4), Algeria (33rd, -2), Morocco (34th, -1), Egypt (46th, +3), Ghana (49th, +3), Cameroon (55th, -5), Mali (57th, -3) and Côte d'Ivoire (59th, +2).

Cape Verde climbs, Mozambique falls

Among the strongest progressions, there are Cape Verde (73rd, +7) and Guinea-Bissau (108th, +11), qualified for the CAN 2021. Mozambique, on the other hand, suffered the strongest plunge, passing from 106th to 117th place.

Eritrea, 203rd, is the least well placed African team.

Note that at the global level, no changes in the top 5: Belgium is first ahead of France (2nd), Brazil (3rd), England (4th) and Portugal (5th).
