One new first grader entered Takae Elementary School in Higashi Village, Okinawa Prefecture, in the northern part of the main island of Okinawa, and the entrance ceremony was held for the first time in two years.

At the entrance ceremony held at Takae Elementary School in Higashi Village on the 8th, the only new first grader, Shoji Yaman, attended.

Last year there was no new first grader, so this is the first entrance ceremony in two years.

Two of the five senior students were absent on the 8th, but when Shoji-kun entered with a tense look, the teachers and local people clapping their hands together.

Then, Principal Tatsuya Miyagi said, "I was about to tear when I entered the school. At school, my brother and sister will help me, so please feel at ease."

Next, on behalf of the senior students, Ms. Morioka Maru, a fifth grader, welcomed, "I think there are times when I'm not used to it, but let's do our best together."

Shoji said, "I'm looking forward to studying and having lunch. I want to do my best at the athletic meet."
