The former Saint-Malo court has in fact just been put up for auction with a starting price set at 1.248 million euros.

But to position yourself, you will have to act quickly because the online sale, which started this Wednesday at 3 p.m., will end on Thursday at the same time.

Owned by the Ille-et-Vilaine departmental council, the 1,850 m2 building has not been occupied since April 2018 and the move of the justice services to a more modern court, located on avenue Aristide-Briand.

Located in the intramural, the old courthouse has assets to attract investors.

Inaugurated by François Mitterrand in 1957 when he was then Minister of Justice, the building notably houses a chapel listed since 1946 as a Historic Monument.

The weight of the years has however made it dilapidated, with problems of waterproofing of the roofs, infiltration and humidity.
