In a study published on the Institut Pasteur website, a team of researchers modeled several possible scenarios for exiting the crisis.

In all cases, the abandonment of barrier measures can only be done with a very wide vaccination coverage.

The most optimistic option, considering an OR at 3, specifies that 90% of people over 65 and 70% of 18-64 years should be vaccinated.

But the diffusion of the English variant changes the situation with an OR of 4. In this case, 90 of the adults would have to be vaccinated unless the children were included in the vaccination campaign.

Analysis by Mylène Ogliastro, researcher at INRAE, virologist, vice-president of the society of virology.
