The wind continues to blow hard over Provence, and forest fires are on the increase.

A new start of fire was reported to the Vaucluse firefighters in the town of Monieux this Wednesday at the very beginning of the afternoon, and it had already covered more than 15 hectares at 6 p.m.

A hundred men are currently mobilized to fight this fire which is not fixed, supported by three canadairs and a Dash who have already carried out drops.

The area is very difficult to access which does not facilitate the task of firefighters.

On Tuesday, nearly 100 hectares burned in Auriol, in the Bouches-du-Rhône.
