According to the website of the Department of Emergency Management of Anhui Province, at 10 o'clock on April 7th, Shanghai Longjing Environmental Protection Company was conducting welding and plugging operations on the top of desulphurization slurry tank at Huasu Thermal Power Plant in Dingyuan County, Chuzhou City. A flash explosion occurred, causing 6 workers to fall from the top of the tank (about 5 meters high), 1 person died on the spot, and 5 people died after being sent to the hospital.
The main leaders of the Anhui Provincial Emergency Management Department led the responsible comrades of relevant departments to rush to the scene to guide the disposal.
