Last night, the explosive fantasy drama "Siteng" directed by Li Muge and starring Jing Tian and Zhang Binbin went live. Members can get a glimpse of the finale.

The play is adapted from the work of the popular Internet writer Wei Yu. It tells the story of designer Qin Fang's accidental fall from a cliff, awakening Si Teng who has been sleeping for decades, and unveiling a vine-like entanglement of grievances.

It has been less than a month since its launch, "Sito" has really become popular with its novel plot setting, fresh actor matching, and beautiful "out of the circle" real scene, costumes, and special effects.

Up to now, the Douban score of the show has reached 7.8 points, with more than 130,000 netizens participating in the scoring, and more than 70% of the ratings have four stars or more. It can be said to be a win-win for popularity and word of mouth.

At the end of the show, Wu Xingyan, producer and producer of the show and general manager of Yuekai Entertainment Film and Television Production Center, accepted an exclusive interview with a reporter from the Yangcheng Evening News to reveal the creative process of "Sito" exclusively.

In her opinion, the whole drama is a new attempt: "Before this, it may be difficult for everyone to imagine what Zhang Binbin and Jing Tian's CP are like. This combination itself is very fresh. In addition, "Sito "The aesthetics, scenes, stories, etc., are all refreshing."

"Magic change" to perfect the story logic

The original novel builds a world full of fantastic ideas, and the drama version adds some ingenious designs on the basis of restoring basic settings and key plots.

"For example, linking Qin Fang's friend Shan Zhigang with Qiu Shan and making him the final opponent in the final battle with Siteng is an end to the grievances of the previous life. Another example is the establishment of the blood relationship between Qin Fang and Siteng. Certainly, why Qin Fang’s blood can awaken Si Teng, and also make this relationship more fatalistic.” Wu Xingyan revealed that the director and the creative team saw a very distinctive landscape in Yunnan during the selection of scenes-vines entwined. The tree grows upward, and the concept of "vines hug the tree" is used to explain the blood relationship between Siteng and Qin Fang's ancestors, and perfect the detailed logic of the plot.

In response to the original fans’ doubts about the drama version’s “light suspense and romance”, Wu Xingyan said: "Our initial position is to be a fantasy suspense drama. The most attractive fantasy and suspense color of the original is definitely the main feature of the drama version. But from the perspective of the production and audience of film and television dramas, romance is also very important. Only when there is emotion can the audience be more impressed."

In her opinion, the drama version is not excessively aggravated in terms of romance. The reason why people feel that the sense of suspense is weakened may be related to the "spoiler": "It just started in the first week, and the fans of the original book know the story behind, and can't wait to update. The audience will also go to see the original. Some suspenseful points, such as the identity of Shen Yindeng, who killed Si Teng, and where Bai Ying was buried, etc., many netizens already know, they can't be called suspense."

"Easter egg" is a sequel to ambush

The change to the platinum corner in the drama version once aroused heated discussion.

The small supporting role in this book is played by the director Li Muge himself in the play, and the number of scenes has obviously increased. Netizens ridiculed the "director's fictitious public benefit and crazy add to the show."

Wu Xingyan laughed and said that the director did not want to act at first, but was "fudged" by the creative team: "The play needs to have an explanation of the world view, and the narration is blunt. The screenwriter decided to let Platinum take on this function when making the script. The director of, it’s more appropriate for him to tell everything, and of course there are budget constraints, so I finally convinced the director to take the job."

As the plot progresses, the secret of Platinum is finally revealed: he turned out to be an eagle!

Wu Xingyan revealed that this is an egg hidden in "Si Teng": "In "Si Teng", there are all plants of the plant family, including vines, trees, mushrooms, and so on. The animal family represented by platinum has almost nothing to do with it. If part of it is left blank, can we dig out more stories? Maybe we can continue to create along this line of thought."

  "Real scene" inspired creative inspiration

"Sten" was on the hot search as soon as it was broadcast-the real scene is so beautiful.

But this can only be said to be the "normal performance" of director Li Muge. His last work "East Palace" directed by him once "out of the circle" with the beauty of live shooting.

Persistence in live shooting is a coincidence between the wishes of the main creative team of "Sito" and the personal characteristics of the director.

"Such a fantasy story, if filmed in a studio or in a city full of modern life, the audience will find it unreliable." In Wu Xingyan's view, "fantasy stories will happen far away from the living environment. In the scenes, both were born and entered the world.” For this reason, the preparatory stage spent a lot of time on the selection of scenes. The main creative team visited more than a dozen cities in Yunnan to find scenes that have fantasy colors and can be shot at the same time.

Wu Xingyan revealed that he saw Li Muge's "East Palace" while looking for a director for "Sito". Li Muge's emotional expansion of the original work and his method of shooting on the spot left a deep impression on him. "He is too suitable for the filming of "Sito". "A".

"Special effects" don't take the fantasy route

Another highlight on the screen of "Sito" is the presentation of special effects. The big scenes are like Siteng being awakened, the red umbrella in the cave, the ultimate confrontation on the hill, and the small details are like a leaf on a cane and a blood moon in the sky. , It is both indistinguishable and beautiful.

Wu Xingyan said that compared to the fantasy style familiar to the audience, "Sto" pursues a sense of modern fantasy in special effects: "We decided not to follow the traditional fantasy route from the beginning. We must be innovative in the presentation of special effects. For example, Qiu Shan The spells used, the descriptions in the book are more fascinating. The director designed that he held a magic wand to attract the sky, and the photoelectric effect presented was more modern."

The show's dedication to "beauty" also extends to the production of special effects.

The opening section where Sto is awakened is one of the most difficult special effects scenes: countless rattans emerge from the ground, gradually converge in a human form in a fluorescent light, and finally evolve into Sto's appearance.

"The novel actually evolved from the skeletons, but we hope that the pictures will be more beautiful, with some sci-fi innovations in special effects." Wu Xingyan said that the whole drama has more than 200 minutes of special effects pictures, all frame by frame. Finely polished, a technical link is often finalized after many different versions of the trial.

Wu Xingyan introduced that the special effects team of this cooperation has participated in the special effects production of "Three Lives III: Pillow Book" and "Restart". They have rich production experience and joined the group during the shooting process.

"They follow the team throughout the whole process, and will give guidance when it comes to special effects shots, such as adding certain effects to a certain place in the real scene, how to present it when shooting, and where to add a little green screen to facilitate post-production."

Jing Tian is "Sifujimoto Fuji"

White silk cheongsam with the same color handbags, high heels, retro curly hair embellished with pearl earrings and big red lips, graceful Jing Tian walked in the dimly lit alley, which opened the prelude to the "Republic of China Costume Show" "Sito".

It is reported that the crew matched more than 80 sets of costumes for the heroine, including cheongsam, cloak, Hanfu, windbreaker, etc., and changed almost every scene.

Wu Xingyan said that these costumes may not be so life-like, but it is very suitable to put them in the plot, "especially Jing Tian is more suitable to wear."

She said: "Sito was born in the Republic of China and was later awakened, so his style should be both retro and fashionable. Like cheongsam, the stylist made an improved model, which is in line with the character's personality and can better match the scene. "

In addition to the beauty of appearance, Jing Tian's performance in the play also conquered many audiences.

"She has the arrogance and alienation of Sto in her body." Wu Xingyan also praised Jing Tian's performance. "Sto is an image of a heroine in our hearts, with an unattainable side and a birth. The feeling of joining the WTO is actually not very easy to find an actor. After receiving the script, Jing Tian read the script in one go, and quickly replied that she would act. After the contemporary entered Jing Tian, we found that she was simply'Sidoumoto Fuji'."
