The Tokyo Olympics Holy Fire Relay will be handed over from Aichi Prefecture to Mie Prefecture, and on the 7th, it will visit the Suzuka Circuit and the area around Ise Jingu.

The executive committee of Mie Prefecture and others are calling for the roadside spectators not to be crowded as a countermeasure against the infection of the new coronavirus.

The Tokyo Olympic torch relay, which started in Fukushima Prefecture on the 25th of last month, will be handed over from Aichi Prefecture to Mie Prefecture, and will travel to 12 cities and towns in the prefecture in two days on the 7th and 8th.

On the 7th of the first day, we will start Yokkaichi City and visit 6 cities including Suzuka Circuit in Suzuka City, Mie Prefectural Office in Tsu City, and Ise Jingu in Ise City.

Approximately 100 runners, including Toshihiko Seko, who was born in Mie Prefecture and was active in the Olympics, and Saori Yoshida, will connect the torch.

The executive committee of Mie Prefecture and others have decided to take thorough measures against infection by putting up paper around the course to call attention so that the spectators along the road are not crowded, or by calling for live broadcasting on the Internet.
