The Tokyo Olympic torch relay over Aichi Prefecture ended its two-day schedule on the night of the 6th, when Olympians and others connected the torch and a commemorative ceremony was held in Toyota City, a leader in the automobile industry.

The second day of Aichi Prefecture, the 6th, started in Toyohashi City in the eastern part of the prefecture, and the first runner was from the local area. I ran with a smile.



Mr. Suzuki, who finished running, said, "I felt once again that the warmth of Toyohashi was transmitted and that the Olympic Games were supported by so many people."



On the 6th, many people gathered along the roadside, and the Aichi Prefectural Executive Committee repeatedly called for wearing masks and avoiding crowding as a countermeasure against the infection of the new coronavirus.



At night, Miki Ando and Takahiko Kozuka, who entered Toyota City and participated in the Olympics by figure skating, connected.



In addition, Toyota Motor Corporation President Akio Toyoda relayed a robot operated by Shunsuke Suzuki, a first-year high school student with a disability in a remote location.



When Mr. Suzuki moved the wheelchair, the robot proceeded to connect the torch.



Then, the torch arrived at Toyota Stadium, the final point, and a commemorative ceremony was held, ending the two-day schedule in Aichi Prefecture.



The torch relay will go around Mie Prefecture from the 7th.
