[Explanation] On April 5th, the 2021 Tibetan Buddhism study monks in the Tibet Autonomous Region were evaluated and promoted to Geshe La Rangpa degree and the sect defense and certification ceremony was held at the Jokhang Monastery in Lhasa.

Examiners from Lhasa, Xigaze, Shannan, Qamdo, Nagqu, and related monasteries in Yunnan conducted fierce replies on the contents of the five classics mentioned by the monks who accompanied the examination, and passed the rigorous evaluation by the Examination Committee. Qushui County, Lhasa City Thirteen monks including Luosang Danda from Redui Monastery have obtained the Geshe Larangpa degree, which is the highest degree for monks of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism to study Xianzong.

　　【Explanation】During the event, Zhukang Tudengkezhu, the executive vice president of the Tibet Branch of the Chinese Buddhist Association, presented a Hada to the monk who obtained a degree and awarded a degree certificate.

The relevant persons in charge of the Political Consultative Conference of the Tibet Autonomous Region and the Religious Affairs Bureau of the Tibet Autonomous Region, on behalf of the People's Government of the Tibet Autonomous Region, presented colorful satin, dried fruits, robes and gifts to the degree-obtained monks.

　　Zhukang Tudenkezhu introduced that the 2021 summer preparatory examination for the promotion of Tibetan Buddhist monks to the Geshe Rangpa degree was successfully completed at Drepung Monastery in September 2020, and the above 13 monks obtained the sect. Qualification for defense.

Up to now, there are 151 eminent monks in the Tibet Autonomous Region who have obtained Geshe La Rangpa degrees.
