On the afternoon of April 5, a household on the fourth floor of a 9-story residential building in Nanjiang County, Sichuan Province caught fire, causing many people upstairs to be trapped in a critical condition.
Rescue forces arrived at the scene and found that the building on fire was full of smoke, the corridors and stairs were full of smoke, and the fire on the 4th floor was burning violently.
Witnesses said that there were still residents trapped in the building.
Fire rescue personnel immediately went upstairs to search and evacuate the trapped persons, and other firefighters immediately released water to control the fire.
Rescue and evacuation personnel searched and rescued layer by layer. After unremitting efforts, 5 trapped people were successfully rescued and transferred to a safe area.
Currently, the local authorities are investigating the specific cause of the fire.
