07.10 Spain receives 1,200,000 doses of Pfizer vaccines this Monday
Today, Monday, a shipment of 1,200,000 doses of Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine will arrive in Spain, which will be added to another batch of more than a million vaccines from the pharmaceutical AstraZeneca, received last Thursday and distributed among the autonomous communities during Easter holidays.
The arrival of the new batch of Pfizer, announced by the Minister of Health, Carolina Darias, last week, is a "significant escalation" that will allow a boost to the immunization plan.
As reported by Health this Saturday, 206,443 doses of vaccines have been administered on Good Thursday and Friday, a figure far from the record set last day 1 -with 306,995 doses- precisely because they are both holidays in several communities.
07.05 Madrid expands areas and towns with restrictions due to the coronavirus
The Community of Madrid extends mobility restrictions to six basic health zones (ZBS) and three localities from this Monday, so that a total of 11 zones and 10 localities will be closed perimeter in the region, reports Efe.
From 00:00 hours on Monday, April 5 until 00:00 hours on April 19, the areas of Las Margaritas, in Getafe, will be restricted;
San Fernando, in San Fernando de Henares;
in Madrid capital those of Alameda de Osuna (Barajas district), Rejas (San Blas-Canillejas district) and Chopera (Arganzuela district);
and the basic area of Villaviciosa de Odón.
The entrances and exits will also be limited except for justified reasons in the towns of La Cabrera, Moralzarzal and Colmenarejo.
