In the early morning of April 4, a traffic accident occurred at the 898 km section of Yancheng, Jiangsu, on the Shenhai Expressway, resulting in 11 deaths and 19 injuries.

At present, the traffic on the highway in the incident has basically recovered, and the trauma surgery for the wounded has been completed.

  In the afternoon, the reporter rushed to the local hospital where the wounded were treated.

At the scene, the anti-epidemic hero and vice president of Zhongda Hospital affiliated to Southeast University, Qiu Haibo, revealed in an interview that a total of 19 wounded are currently hospitalized.

The 15 wounded are relatively stable, and the other 4 are currently being rescued in the ICU.

The wounded were mainly young and middle-aged, and their vital signs were basically stable.

  Qiu Haibo said that the current rescue expert team is composed of national and provincial rescue experts, including critical care, emergency, orthopedics and other departments, and is implementing "one person, one policy" treatment for all the wounded.

The most prominent part of the traffic accident was the fracture injury. Fortunately, the injured were mainly young and middle-aged, and their basic physical conditions were good. Despite the trauma, the treatment was very timely.
