Recently, a drowning incident occurred in the Qinjiang River section of Dibiao Village, Pingji Town, Qinbei District, Qinzhou City, Guangxi. After more than 20 hours of efforts by various departments, all three drowning female students were salvaged ashore, but they were all killed.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of April 2, and the local government immediately launched a rescue plan after the incident.

Rescuers pulled nets and intercepted rivers 3 kilometers and 5 kilometers downstream to prevent those who fell into the water from being washed away. At the same time, they used drones and kayaks to search the river surface continuously, and arranged rescuers to dive and search.

At 11:30 am on the 3rd, rescuers found a person who fell into the water at a vortex in the center of the river.

In the following 3 hours, rescuers successively searched for two other people who fell into the water.

Sadly, due to drowning for too long, all three have no signs of life.

The fire rescue department reminded that drowning is the number one killer of accidental deaths of primary and secondary school students. As the weather is getting hot, parents should not let their children swim or play in rivers, reservoirs or ponds.
